I’ve created a monster.
As soon as my daughter was old enough to eat solid foods she no longer ate her meals. But providing her with 25 small snacks throughout the day she was able to get enough nutrients *rolls eyes*. It almost drove me nuts!
Because sitting at the table as a family at meal time is important to me I quickly quit that bad habit and now we fight at the dinner table to “eat your supper, sit on your chair, get back on your chair, no toys at the dinner table, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!, okay fine if you eat all your supper you can have dessert.”
Since there are often lots of baked goods around here, dessert is not hard to come by at our house. But since Aaron has gone away for work again I haven’t been baking at all and the bribery of dessert in fruit form is not going very far…until tonight! In less than 5 minutes I whipped up a tub of homemade all-natural raspberry frozen yogurt to enjoy after a somewhat successful dinner.
Not only was it tart and delicious, I absolutely love the beautiful color of this healthy frozen treat! I was also impressed with just how much it made for less than what you could buy it for at grocery store. And the best part; one standard ice cream size scoop is less than 100 calories so dig in!
Healthy All-Natural Raspberry Frozen Yogurt
Ingredients
5 cups frozen raspberries
1 cup plain greek yogurt
4 tbsp natural honey
1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Directions
Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor and blend until thick and everything is fully blended with no chunks of berries remaining.
Transfer mixture to a freezer-safe container (I used a loaf pan) and freeze for 2 hours or until the frozen yogurt reaches desired consistency.
Scoop and serve in bowls, cones or on top of your favorite dessert. Enjoy!
